A deer crashed through a car’s windshield Thursday morning and landed in the passenger seat of the vehicle, investigators said.
"Not a good way to start the morning," Jones County Sheriff Butch Reece said on social media. "I guess the deer was looking for a little heat or maybe trying to get away from a hunter in the woods but what ever the reason he tried to hitch a ride."
The driver was not injured. The deer died in the incident.
"Hunters you have got to help us out with the deer problem and get them while they are in the woods," Reece said.
