Authorities in Alabama are searching for a convicted murderer who escaped a Childersburg work release program over the weekend, officials said.

According to AL.com, workers at the Childersburg Work Release Center noticed that 43-year-old Daniel Miner, who was serving a life sentence for murder in the 1993 slaying of Edward Lee Williams, was missing late Saturday, authorities said.

Officials said Miner, who has blue eyes and brown hair, stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 192 pounds, WAAY-TV reported. He has multiple white supremacist tattoos and was last seen wearing white prison clothes, officials said.

Anyone who sees Miner is asked to call 911 or the Alabama Department of Corrections at 1-800-831-8825.
