California police are trying to track down a man who stole several bags of frozen shrimp, worth $500, by hiding them in his pants, authorities said.

Surveillance video at a southern California supermarket Dec. 4 showed a man enter a Vons store in Riverside three times within 15 minutes, each time hiding several bags of the frozen shrimp in his pants, KCBS reported.

Riverside police said the man managed to take 30 bags of the frigid crustaceans, KTLA reported.

Police released video from Dec. 4 and described the suspect as a white male who is 50 to 60 years old, with gray hair and weighing between 150 pounds to 180 pounds. He is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and was last seen wearing a navy blue sweater, blue jeans and a tan jacket.

Anyone with information about the thief or the shrimp theft can contact Detective Jeff Putnam at (951) 826-2054 or email jputnam@Riversideca.gov.
