AAA’s ‘Tow to Go’ service available in select states New Year’s Eve

The American Automobile Association is offering a safe ride program for New Year’s Eve revelers in select states.

The holiday "Tow to Go" program, sponsored by AAA, began Dec. 20 and ends Thursday at 6 a.m. It is available to both AAA members and nonmembers.

It is available in the following states only:

  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Indiana (Fort Wayne and South Bend only)
  • Iowa
  • Michigan
  • Nebraska
  • North Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Wisconsin

In participating states, those needing a ride should call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246. AAA says availability is subject to change without notice.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were 285 drunken-driving-related fatalities nationwide between Christmas and New Year's in 2018.
