Middletown to rotate deputy chiefs until new police chief is tapped

Muterspaw’s last day in the office was Friday.

All four deputy chiefs, Majors David Birk, Scott Reeve, Leanne Hood and Andy Warrick, are applying for the position, and the testing and assessment process is underway.

The following is the set rotation, which can be adjusted, city officials said:

  • Oct. 4-Oct. 20: Reeve
  • Oct. 21-Nov. 3: Hood
  • Nov. 4-Nov. 17: Birk
  • Nov. 18-Dec. 1: Warrick
  • Dec. 2-Dec. 15: Hood
  • Dec. 16-Jan. 5: Reeve
