Middletown reports another confirmed case of coronavirus

The city of Middletown has reported another confirmed case of coronavirus.

Spokeswoman Shelby Quinlivan said the latest diagnosis was reported Tuesday night after a 72-year-old man was hospitalized.

He was the third confirmed case of coronavirus in the city.

Quinlivan said the first case, confirmed March 14, was a 55-year-old woman who did not require hospitalization and has recovered from COVID-19.

A second case was confirmed Sunday and is a 45-year-old man. He is recovering at home, Quinlivan said.

The Ohio Department of Health has reported 2,547 confirmed cases in Ohio with 679 hospitalizations that includes 222 admissions to Intensive Care Units across the state. The median age of people confirmed with COVID-19 is 53 and the age range is from under 1 year of age to age 99. There have been 65 Ohioans who died from COVID-19 statewide.

The Butler County Health District reported 43 confirmed cases of COVID-19, up from 38 yesterday, and still one death.
