A Preble County grand jury indicted a Maryland man on multiple drug-related charges stemming from an August arrest.
Paul McCabe, 20, was indicted on charges three drug possession charges and one possession of drug paraphernalia charge, according to a grand jury report released Tuesday.
Deputies said they found marijuana in duffle bags and glass jars estimated to be worth around $30,000 after McCabe crashed his car south of Eaton.
McCabe allegedly told deputies he was a student at Miami University and he drives to Michigan to get ‘medical pot’ to bring back to campus.

A Maryland man is facing several drug charges after deputies found 14 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.
Preble County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash at about 5:10 a.m. Wednesday in the 5700 block of US 127, south of Eaton.
The driver of the vehicle, which had gone off the road and rolled over, was seen in a nearby cornfield.
The driver, identified at Paul A. McCabe, indicated to deputies that he was a student at Miami University and had fallen asleep while driving to Oxford.
Deputies discovered several glass jars containing what was suspected to be marijuana, as well as eight Xanax pills, in the cornfield.
According to deputies, McCabe, 20, said he drives to Michigan to get “medical pot” and then drives it back to Miami University.
After further investigation, deputies found two large duffle bags in the trunk of the car, each containing 12 vacuum-sealed plastic bags with suspected marijuana.
The evidence was transported to the Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab in Dayton, where it was determined to be raw marijuana weighing 14 pounds.
Deputies also seized $952 in cash from McCabe.
Deputies estimate the street value of the raw marijuana to be approximately $30,000.
McCabe, of Bethesda, Md., is housed in the Preble County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana, a third degree felony; possession of drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor; and possession of hashish, a fourth degree misdemeanor.
McCabe is a sophomore at Miami University, according to school spokeswoman Claire Wagner.
He remains in the Preble County Jail pending his initial arraignment in Eaton Municipal Court.
