Improvements to Princeton Road in Fairfield Twp. and Liberty Twp. are scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 6.
The project involves a distance of approximately 1.8 miles from Jayfield Drive to Ohio 747 and will be constructed in two phases.
Improvements include widening the existing lanes from ten to eleven feet, widening the paved shoulders to four feet, adjusting the roadway profile by flattening several vertical crests, and installing edgeline rumble strips.
Detours will be as follows:
Phase 1: Jayfield Drive to Liberty Fairfield Road.
- Start/closure: Aug. 6
- Approximate opening date: Sept. 25
- Detour: Eastbound Princeton Road traffic will detour south on Bypass 4, east on Ohio 129, and north on Ohio 747 to Princeton. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
Phase 2: Liberty Fairfield Road to Ohio 747.
- Approximate start/closure date: Sept. 25
- Approximate opening date: Dec. 20
- Detour: Eastbound Princeton Road traffic will detour south on Bypass 4, east on Ohio 129, and north on Ohio 747 to Princeton. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
During these phases Princeton Road will be closed to thru and commuter traffic; however, local access will be maintained for residents of Princeton Road within the construction zone as well as for side streets. Access will also be maintained for emergency vehicles and school buses.
WEST CHESTER TWP.: Station Road
Station Road will close just east of Cincinnati-Dayton Road beginning Monday, Aug. 6, for a bridge replacement and road realignment in conjunction with the Cincinnati Dayton Road improvement project.
Station Road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of Nov. 19.
Eastbound Station Road traffic will detour north on Cincinnati Dayton Road, north on Interstate 75, east on Tylersville Road, south on Cox Road, then west and south on Barret Road to Station. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
REILY TWP.: State Line Center Road
State Line Center Road will close 0.1 mile north of Peoria Reily Road and 200 feet south of Riley Pike (Indiana side) for a culvert replacement beginning Wednesday, Aug. 8.
The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of Aug. 13, according to the Butler County Engineer's Office.
Northbound State Line Center Road traffic will detour west on Merrell Road in Indiana, north on Raymond Road, and east on Riley Pike to State Line Center. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
OXFORD TWP.: Stillwell Beckett Road
Stillwell Beckett Road will close for two culvert replacements beginning Tuesday, Aug. 7.
Only one culvert will be closed at a time, according to the Butler County Engineer's Office. Crews will begin at the westernmost culvert and conclude with the eastern culvert. Length and time for each culvert may vary so dates listed below are estimates only.
First culvert: Located 0.1 mile east of Indian Creek Road and 0.8 mile west of Riggs Road. Closing: Aug. 7. Approximate opening date: Aug. 13.
Second culvert: Located 0.7 mile east of Indian Creek Road and 0.2 mile west of Riggs Road. Approximate closing date: Aug. 13. Approximate opening date: Aug. 17.
Eastbound Stillwell Beckett Road traffic will detour north on Indian Creek Road, east on Brookville Road, and south on Riggs Road to Stillwell Beckett. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
