The Ohio BMV advised people heading to locations Tuesday to call ahead before arriving, according to a tweet around posted around 9 a.m.
The issues with the BMV’s system started last week with a transition to new hardware, Lindsey Bohrer, a spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Public Safety said in an email Tuesday afternoon.
“The primary issue is with printing,” Bohrer said. “The issue is affecting all locations, however, we are able to take care of customers in most cases, it is just causing slower transaction times.”
Additional details were not available.
We’ll update this story as we learn more.
