Family fight in Miamisburg sends 2 combatants to hospital, police say

UPDATE @ 5:38 p.m.: A family fight in Miamisburg involving two males ended with one of them reportedly stabbed and both in a hospital, police Sgt. Jeff Muncy said.

Police are continuing their investigation into what triggered the family domestic situation at the home on Old Main Street.

Both males have been taken to Kettering Medical Center. One of them is in surgery, Muncy said.

One of them barricaded himself in the garage and police had to talk him out, the sergeant said.

Right now, police are awaiting a search warrant to enter the residence.

INITIAL REPORT

At least one person is in custody from an apparent stabbing Thursday afternoon reported in the 1200 block of Old Main Street in Miamisburg.

A 45-year-old person called 9-1-1 about 3:46 p.m. to report being stabbed by a person described as an 18-year-old, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

The person stabbed has been taken to Kettering Medical Center.

Police, at 4:30 p.m., were searching for the suspect. The search reportedly involved the residence on Old Main Street.

We're working to learn more about who has been apprehended and whether that person is the suspected attacker.
