E-mail, voice mail back up at career center

CLEARCREEK TWP. — A glitch in the communications system at the Warren County Career Center led to e-mail and voice message services to be shut down the last several days.

The career technical school, which serves Warren County’s eight public school districts and provides several adult education programs, is upgrading its system to solve the problem.

School board members approved the upgrade of hardware with CenturyLink Thursday, Sept. 16, at a cost of $20,137.

Superintendent Maggie Hess said e-mail and phone services were functioning normally Thursday, after e-mail was impacted for seven to 10 days. Voice messaging went down for a few days when the 5-year-old system was taken offline to fix the problem, Hess said.
