Teen killed in Franklin Twp. crash ID’d

UPDATE @ 11:40 a.m.

Michaela Aregood, 19, of Franklin has been identified as the woman killed in a Warren County crash Saturday morning, according to a release from deputies.

Aregood was driving west on McLean Road when she lost control and struck a tree and culvert before crashing into a creek bed.

Deputies said Aregood was pronounced dead at the scene and the crash remains under investigation.

An unidentified woman is dead after the car she was driving hit a tree and crashed into a creek bed Saturday morning in Warren County’s Franklin Twp.

Troopers at the scene told our crew the woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene after several unsuccessful CPR attempts.

A driver travelling in the 3500 block of McLean Road noticed the crash after driving over a detached wheel from the crashed car.

No other people were in the car at the time of the collision, according to troopers, and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.

A portion of McLean Road remains closed as a wrecker works to remove the car from the creek and crews clear the roadway of debris.

The Warren County coroner has arrived to the scene of an injury crash in Franklin Twp. Saturday morning.

Our crew at the scene reports a portion of the 3500 block of McLean Road is closed as crews work to remove a crashed car from a creek.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are handling the scene while Warren County deputies offer assistance.

Initial reports indicate a person was trapped in the car shortly after it crashed into the creek just before 2:45 a.m.

A person is reportedly injured after the car they were in crashed into a Franklin Twp. creek.

Crews were sent to the 3500 block of McLean Road in Warren County around 2:45 a.m. on a report of an injury crash.

Initial reports indicate a person was briefly trapped in the partially submerged car.

First responders are administering CPR to a victim at the scene, according to scanner traffic.
