Hear from the 4 Democrats who want to challenge Congressman Warren Davidson

The Butler County Democratic Party and Miami University College Democrats are hosting a candidates forum today, April 17, featuring the four people hoping to unseat the 8th Congressional District’s Republican incumbent.

The four candidates will share the dais at 6:30 p.m. today at the Miami University Downtown Center at 221 High St. in Hamilton. Voters will decide in the May 8 primary election which of these candidates they feel can beat Congressman Warren Davidson, R-Troy, in November.

The 8th Congressional District includes all of Butler, Clark, Darke, Miami and Preble counties and the southernmost portion of Mercer County. The winner of the May 8 primary will face Davidson in the Nov. 6 general election.

“Just as we’ve seen across the nation, there is heightened interest in people running for office as a Democrat and voter interest in Democratic candidates, and Butler County is no exception,” said Butler County Democratic Party spokesman Brian Hester. “We cannot recall having four candidates seek the Democratic nomination in our county.”

The event is open to the public, but space is limited. To RSVP, call 513-896-5201.
