The donation was generated by the Reds Community Fund's portion of Split the Pot ticket sales from the three Reds vs. Mets games this week (Aug. 29-31), plus donations from Mike & Michele Schuster of Michael Schuster Associates and Levi Blachman of StubWorld, team officials said in a prepared statement released tonight.

The funds will be equally distributed between the American Red Cross and former Reds right fielder Jay Bruce's efforts to raise money for Southeast Texas and his hometown of Beaumont, Texas.
