A state trooper attempted to stop the motorcycle for a fictitious registration around 1 p.m. when the operator decided to take off, Lt. Mark Gooding told this news outlet.

The operator crossed over a center median and was traveling the wrong-way on state Route 73 during the pursuit. The trooper continued the pursuit by traveling in the correct direction of SR 73, Gooding said.

The pursuit was at slow-speeds because one of the motorcycle’s tires was punctured when the operator drove across the median.

The pursuit came to an end when the operator dropped the motorcycle and was placed into custody.

Minor injuries were reported by the operator but he refused medical treatment.

Additional details were not available.
