Of the 30 attendees, 25 were Lindenwald residents and/or business owners. Other guests included Susan Vaughm City Council, Kathy Klink 17 Strong, Peggy Bange City of Hamilton Dept. of Neighborhoods, Officer Scott Arbino HPD and Andy Weltzer German Village.

Jane Curry, Kensho Karate Studio, spoke on the revival of the Lindenwald Civic Association. Next meeting, July 22nd, 7:30 am. To date they have been encouraging the installation of cameras in the business district. The Linden Tree - a new shop/boutique/art studio etc will open soon. If deemed successful after 6 months it may be expanded.

Misty Duff, Duff's Carpentry., reported on Lindenwald Litter Patrol. The monthly litter pick ups along Pleasant Ave. have been successful. There is less litter between efforts and conversations with residents, passers by and participants have proven valuable.. On August 1, Zimmerman Ave. between Corwin and St. Clair Aves.will be cleaned. Meet at Corwin underpass at 8:00. Thanks to a grant from 17 Strong, everything you need will be provided. A safety detail will provide traffic control. Like on fb at Lindenwald Litter Patrol.

Greg Bisforf talked about his idea to spruce up the vacated tree wells along Pleasant Ave. With the help of Peggy Bange, Dept. of Neighborhoods, and funding from 17 Strong, these areas are now alive with color.

Ashley Neal talked about having acquired the hand car wash, Details Matter, 600 block of Belle Ave. She will be active in the Lindenwald Civic Assn. and invites you to like her on fb LadyEternity Isso Unique.

Peggy Kollstedt talked about the "Art In The Park" effort, (new to Lindenwald this year. but 5 years running) Covid 19 has negated hands on projects so "Art In A Bag," a take home version was adopted.. Once again funding came from 17 Strong. Watch social media as well as signage at Benninghofen Park for future Saturday dates

Traffic concerns, namely the middle turn lane on Pleasant Ave. between Corwin and the Fairfield city limits as well as speeding on St. Clair Ave. were brought up and discussed. City officials will look into the concerns..

Officer Arbino addressed several residents hoping to engage in some sort of neighborhood watch effort. Suggested starting small, possibly a block at a time and moving on from there. Lindenwald is likely too large for just one watch.. Breaking the area into smaller units may help. Reporting all incidents to HPD, educating citizens about best communication methods and reminding residents of their responsibilities (secure belongings as best they can, leave NOTHING in cars, lock cars etc.) to help prevent crime are all essential elements for success. PROTOCOL offering to assist any initiative that materializes.

Meeting adjourned just after 7:30, but informal conversation among residents continued for quite a while.
