A Liberty Twp. couple has launched a local franchise of a national kitchen and bath remodeling company known for its signature one-day wood restoration service.

Kitchen Tune-Up seeks to meet the growing demand from homeowners seeking to update and upgrade the look of their kitchens. It serves communities in Butler and Warren counties, including West Chester Twp., Mason, Liberty Twp., Middletown and surrounding communities.

Matt Fields has a background that includes working in IT for 21 years and in a managerial role for 14 years.

“It really helps me organize subcontractors and employees that are able to really take care of things who are experts and make sure that all the tasks stay on track and everything’s done according to plan,” Fields said.

His wife, who works as a school cook in a cafeteria, will be especially helpful to help grow the business during her summers off, he said.

It’s also heartening, Fields said, to have the support of the award-winning company’s Aberdeen, South Dakota home office.

“It’s a big determining factor to me on doing this was the fact that they are very supportive, they’ve got a lot of experience … been through a lot of ups and downs and a lot of challenges before, and they know how to address them, so I don’t have to try things,” he said. “I can do things that they know work.”

Fields, who has lived in Liberty Twp. since 2008, said he decided to launch the business because he, in part, wanted to make a difference in the community.

He said being a Butler County resident backed by a longtime, prominent franchise means customers are getting “a local owner that cares as much as a mom and pop does to make sure customers are happy.”

In addition to residential clients, Kitchen Tune-Up offers kitchen remodeling for commercial customers. Services for both client bases include the company’s Tune-Up, a proprietary wood reconditioning process, as well as cabinet re-dooring, cabinet painting, cabinet refacing, custom cabinets, Granite Tune-Ups and accessories. A Kitchen Tune-Up sales process guides homeowners through the entire project.

While many kitchen remodeling services can take weeks, leaving kitchens inaccessible, Kitchen Tune-Up completes many projects in one to five days, Fields said.

“Matt and Laura are a fantastic addition to the Kitchen Tune-Up family. We have all the confidence in them to carry on the Kitchen Tune-Up tradition,” said Heidi Morrissey, president of the Kitchen Tune-Up Franchise System. “The Fields are exactly the type of trusted partners homeowners in Butler County need to support their remodeling project.”
