2 injured in crash into pole

Two men were injured late Friday in a one-vehicle crash.

Around 11:17 p.m., West Chester emergency crews responded to Butler Warren Road near Birchstone Court on reports of a vehicle that went off the road and struck a pole, said Lt. Barry Walker of West Chester police.

Joshua C. Miller, 22, of Mason was reportedly driving a 2005 Nissan 350Z south on Butler Warren Road when he lost control of the car, Walker said.

Miller’s vehicle went off the side of the road, struck a utility pole and rolled over. Miller was ejected from the vehicle and was later flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for head injuries, Walker said.

A passenger, 21-year-old Batchuluun Byambakhuu of Deerfield Twp., was also injured and treated at West Chester Hospital, according to Walker.

Walker said the road was closed for about 12 hours for Duke Energy to replace the utility pole.

No citations have been issued and the crash remains under investigation.
