- David Riegel, former Franklin High School principal, currently a high school principal in Lexington-Richland School District in South Carolina
- Shanna Bumiller, Mason High School assistant principal
- Kevin Casey, Middletown City Schools student services coordinator
- Jesse Catanzaro, Monroe Local Schools human resources and operations director.
- Abbie Cook, Butler Tech BioScience Center principal
- Chad Hinton, Talawanda High School principal
- Bradley Lanier, Fairfield City Schools chemistry/biology teacher
- Bradley Lovell, vice president of the Lakota school board; Crossroads director of local and global partnerships
The position that Douglas Cozad will be vacating at the end of June to become the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools superintendent on July 1, attracted a total of 50 candidates located in Ohio and five other states and from China, according to the district.
“I was pleasantly surprised with the number of people who applied,” Superintendent Michael Sander said. “Five years ago we might not have had that many.”
Sander said the selection committee narrowed the field to 16 candidates and then selected eight candidates for interviews. The committee then narrowed the field to three candidates for the final round of interviews before selecting Donisi.
The Franklin school board approved a two-year contract with an annual salary of $100,000 at its May 21 meeting.
Donisi is a long-time Franklin educator and administrator who took a position as assistant superintendent of the Clinton-Massie School District. She stepped down as a Franklin school board member in January citing increased duties at work.
