Houston, we’ve got a traffic problem.
Drivers on I-10 in Houston experienced a different kind of traffic jam Thursday morning after a truck lost a giant spool on the highway, KHOU reported.
The industrial spool caused drivers to swerve out of the way and cause a traffic jam right around lunchtime, KTRK reported.
Drivers were forced to make some quick moves to avoid a lost load rolling down I-10 and Wayside.
Marie Cervantes said she was driving next to the truck when the spool flew off the vehicle, KHOU reported.
"And that round thing fell, and I saw a big piece of metal flying," Cervantes told the television station.
L.M. Ramirez saw the spool rolling toward his vehicle.
"It was crazy scary," he told KHOU.
And here's a pic of the giant spool sitting on the East Freeway's westbound lanes right now. Video of it rolling in traffic earlier -> https://t.co/sayoJzOo86 #HTownRush pic.twitter.com/kcZ0T2rcVJ— Doug Delony (@DougDelonyKHOU) October 25, 2018
