Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic hiring workers for holidays

Like many other retailers trying to get ahead of hiring this busy holiday season, Gap’s brands are planning to hire thousands of seasonal employees.

The 65,000 workers Gap plans to hire will work at distribution and call centers, as well as Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic stores.

Interested candidates can apply online and visit all locations during a hiring even Oct. 6.

There are Old Navy stores at the Dayton Mall, The Greene Town Center, Bridgewater Falls in Fairfield Twp., the Cincinnati Premium Outlets and in Liberty Twp.

The Greene and Cincinnati Premium Outlets also have Banana Republic and Gap stores, and Gap has a store in Liberty Twp.

“Seasonal associates who work hard to serve our customers and are passionate about our brands are crucial to our success this holiday season,” said Brent Hyder, executive vice president of Gap.

Seasonal hires will also be eligible for 50 percent off regular-priced merchandise at the stores, 30 percent off at Outlet and Factory stores and 25 percent off at Athleta stores.
