Footlighters to present “The Savannah Sipping Society”
Fairfield Footlighters will present “The Savannah Sipping Society,” at 2 p.m. Feb. 17, 8 p.m. Feb. 22-23, and 2 p.m. Feb. 24 at Fairfield Community Arts Center, 411 Wessel Drive.
This laugh-a-minute comedy is about the hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, of four middle-aged, Southern women, who discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment — realizing it’s never too late to make new old friends. OxACT to perform “The 39 Steps”
OxACT will present “The 39 Steps,” Feb. 17, and Feb. 22-24 at the Oxford Community Arts Center, 10 S. College Ave. Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and people have “The 39 Steps,” a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre. This comedy is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a cast of four), an onstage plane crash, missing fingers, handcuffs and some good old-fashioned romance.

Theatre to hold “The Jungle Books Kids”
The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati will present Disney’s “The Jungle Books KIDS,” Feb. 17, and Feb. 22-24 at Taft Theatre, 5th and Sycamore Streets, Cincinnati. The jungle is jumpin’ with a jazzy beat in Disney’s “The Jungle Book KIDS.” Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film, this musical features a host of colorful characters and songs from the animated movie. Based on the works of Rudyard Kipling, the “Man-Cub” Mowgli, bounds through the jungle and learns what it means to be human.

Dayton Auto Show
The Dayton Automobile Dealers Association brings new vehicles and the latest interactive technologies to consumers and car enthusiasts at the 2019 Dayton Auto Show. The annual event, presented by Dayton Daily News and Springfield News-Sun, will feature the newest models from more than 28 manufacturers and a chance to win a two-year lease on a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, presented by the Miami Valley Chevrolet Dealers. Margaret Cho will be at the Funny Bone Comedy Club Liberty from Feb. 22-23. Margaret Cho was born Dec. 5, 1968 and raised in San Francisco. Ignoring the traditions of her patriarchal culture, her mother bravely resisted an arranged marriage in Korea and married Margaret’s father a Korean joke book writer.

Over the Rhine coming to Regionals
Over the Rhine will be performing at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Parrish Auditorium on Miami Regionals’ Hamilton Campus, 1601 University Blvd. Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist launched Over the Rhine as a quartet in the spring of 1989, naming it after where they lived and first wrote together, a historic, bohemian neighborhood in Cincinnati. When you listen to Over the Rhine, you quickly fall under the spell of Karin’s compelling voice, ethereal and earthy at once, and then you notice their subtle, satisfying arrangements, all the instruments so exquisitely balanced, and finally, the lines of the songs start hitting you.

MadCap Puppets presents “The Great Space Caper”

Guest bartenders at distilling company
Guest Bartenders from Women Enriching Lives committee will be at the White Dog Distilling Company located at 1357 Central Ave. for First Friday in Middletown on March 1. Jo Ashworth and Brenda Gehm will bartend from 6 to 8 p.m., and Susan and David Farrish will bartend from 8 to 10 p.m.
All tips raised will benefit the Women Enriching Lives Dolly Parton Imagination Library Fund that is located at the Middletown Community Foundation. Children who are registered from birth until their 5th birthday and living in the Edgewood, Franklin, Madison, Middletown or Monroe School Districts receive a book.
