CRIME NEWS: Suspected Kohl’s thief eludes police through woods and then on stolen bicycle
Zendejas was stopped at 4:48 a.m. June 9 at a light on Tylersville Road in the left-turn lane onto Grand Boulevard when police arrived on scene. He woke up as police approached the car, according to the report.
“When Marco woke up and rolled down the window, I noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle,” the police report states.
Zendejas was placed in the back of a police cruiser and a small baggie of marijuana was found in his right front pocket, according to the report. An unopened bottle of vodka was also found in the car’s backseat, according to police.

Zendejas also admitted he had consumed a couple of beers several hours earlier, according to the report.
Police charged the 18-year-old with possession of marijuana and illegal use, and underage consumption.
