Shots fired at Middletown home; witnesses describe unique vehicle at the scene

Police recovered several shell casings from a Middletown house where shots were reportedly fired Monday night.

A woman reported that her children, all adults, were outside smoking at about 10:15 p.m. when someone started shooting at them.

A vehicle with red rims pulled up to the house in the 800 block of 18th Avenue and shot approximately three times, according to the police report.

The vehicle left southbound on Minnesota Street, according to witnesses.

A witness said he did not know anyone inside the vehicle and could not give police a description.

Four shell casings were found at the scene.

Middletown Police Maj. Scott Reeve said the shell casings will be compared to any guns recovered.
