Robber got cash from Peoples Bank in Franklin

UPDATE @ 7:23 p.m.: Police are looking for a white male who got into a gray extended cab pickup truck and headed to state Route 73 after robbing the Peoples Bank branch of an undetermined amount of cash, Franklin police Lt. Brian Pacifico said in a prepared statement.

The truck, possibly a Chevrolet, has a black tool box in the truck bed.

According to police, the robber wore a gray ball cap, gray button-up shirt and khaki pants when he handed the teller a note about 4:36 p.m. He left on foot, headed toward Kettering/Franklin Hospital and was last seen in the hospital parking lot before he got into the truck.

The police department also released photos of the incident.

UPDATE @ 5:35 p.m.: No weapon was shown when a man held up the People's Bank in Franklin, police said. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said more information about the suspect would be forthcoming.

UPDATE @ 5:25 p.m.: Police in Franklin are investigating the second bank robbery reported this month.

The People’s Bank was held up this evening on East Second Street.

A Fifth Third Bank branch, also on on Second Street, was robbed July 1. In that case, police arrested a suspect the next day, identified as Christopher Todd Davidson of Franklin.

Police have been dispatched on a report of a robbery at the Peoples Bank, in the 1400 block of East Second Street.

We’re hearing that police are looking for a gray Chevrolet pickup truck. There are no reports of any injuries.
