Police in one Ohio township say a shoplifter called 911 when she realized that her plan to steal clothing after-hours at a store was thwarted by locked doors.

Brimfield Twp. police near Kent, Ohio, released surveillance video from the incident at a Kohl’s store that shows Joanne Havens, 35, in the store after closing. The video shows Havens taking clothing and other items, then approaching the store’s front doors, which would not open.

Police said Havens then called 911, claiming that she had been trapped after not heeding the announced warnings that the store was closing. Officers were already on the way after Havens tripped security alarms, according to police.

Police found stolen items in Havens purse, according to reports.

Havens has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge.
