Officers from the Warren County Drug Task Force and Springboro Police Department were grilled in the case of a Springboro teacher accused in an undercover drug case that also implicated her son.

Andrea Ostrowski, lawyer for teacher Amy Panzeca, quizzed the officers on Wednesday during a hearing sought in hopes of convincing Judge Donald Oda II that he was misled into permitting the raid of Panzeca’s home in the Settlers Walk development last May.

The officers acknowledged some discrepancies and missing evidence during questioning, but it was unclear if this would be enough to convince Oda to suppress statements gathered in the case.
Oda said he would rule in 30 days and schedule the next hearing in the case.

The juvenile-court case against her son, convicted of selling LSD to 20 or more Springboro students, is already on appeal.
She is accused of permitting the drug abuse by allowing the home to become a “party house” and helping her son buy the drugs using Bitcoin.

She and her daughter were upstairs when drug agents served the search warrant, while the boys were huddling in a basement room, according to testimony in the three-hour hearing Wednesday in Warren County Common Pleas Court.
