Minneapolis Assistant Police Chief Kris Arneson told KSTP that the child was taken to the hospital and is "doing fine."
The first hit-and-run incident was reported shortly after Karia fled. Police believe she struck a man who was standing by his car and dragged him a significant distance. Police said the man had several broken bones, but is expected to survive. A few minutes later, police responded to a second hit-and-run incident involving a bicyclist. The male victim suffered a broken leg.
Minutes later, police responded to a call about a woman attempting to jump off a bridge. Citizens prevented Karia from jumping until authorities arrived. She was taken to the hospital for treatment before being taken into custody.
