She was met by paramedics and police officers, then allowed to comfort her dog. The dog was wrapped in a blanket and a cage was nearby.
The woman was visibly upset. About 15 minutes later, the dog, showing life, was carried by a firefighter to an emergency vehicle and transported to a local veterinarian.
It appeared the house suffered smoke damage.
