FIRST REPORT

CNN’S New York offices and studios were evacuated Thursday night following a phoned bomb threat, the company said.

Staff evacuated the building and Don Lemon’s “CNN Tonight” was taken off the air shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Numerous police and fire department trucks have blocked all vehicle and pedestrian traffic on West 58th Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues due to a police investigation at Columbus Circle, where the Time Warner Center is located, the New York Police Department tweeted.

In October, package bombs were sent to more than a dozen targets, including CNN.

The network’s bureau in the Time Warner Center was evacuated after a package with an explosive device, addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan, was discovered.

None of the devices exploded, but FBI Director Chris Wray said at the time they were not “hoax devices.”

Cesar Sayoc, 56, a Florida supporter of President Trump, was arrested Oct. 27. He was indicted on more than 30 charges and he faces nearly 50 years in prison, if convicted.
