Middletown teen charged with rape

A 16-year-old Middletown boy has been charged with rape after an alleged assault last week.

A 16-year-girl was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital after she told her mother about the alleged sexual assault that occurred at the boy’s Middletown residence, according to a police report.

A rape examination was performed at the hospital, police said.

The suspect was interviewed by Middletown detectives and then booked into the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center on the first-degree felony charge.

He remains behind bars until his next court appearance in juvenile court next week.

According to the report filed by Middletown Police Detective Kristy Hughes, “The defendant brought a female to his residence. Said defendant had forcibly raped her in the back bedroom. The defendant told him no several times, however, he did not stop.”

Hughes said the teen admitted to the assault when questioned by police.
