Local man sentenced to jail for voyeurism

A Fairfield Twp. man has been sentenced to jail after pleading guilty to voyeurism involving a teenage girl.

Jonathan Hazelwood, 28, was sentenced Wednesday to 60 days in the Hamilton County Jail with 30 days suspended by Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Dwane Mallory. He is scheduled to report to jail April 13.

Hazelwood was arrested in January for recording video with a camera that he secretly held under a teen’s skirt at a JCPenney department store in Colerain Twp.

According to police, Hazelwood followed the 13-year-old girl around the store, located in the 3600 block of Stone Creek Boulevard, while she shopped in the shoe department.

Without her knowing, police said Hazelwood photographed underneath the girl’s skirt, invading her privacy.
