A man surrendered to police in Jacksonville, Florida, on Thursday morning after he held about a dozen people hostage during a bank robbery attempt.
The robbery was reported before 9 a.m. at the Community First Credit Union on Edgewood Avenue.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT team and hostage negotiators responded to the report and worked for about two hours to get the hostages out.
Police said they received a 911 call reporting that someone was shot, but they later determined that the report was unfounded.
