Help needed to locate ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect after Franklin Twp. standoff

UPDATE @ 10:52 a.m. (July 5): Warren County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for Ebb Duhamel in connection with Wednesday's standoff on Mentz Road in Franklin Twp.

Duhamel eluded officers from the Warren County Tactical Response Team at the home, and he was no longer inside when law enforcement entered the home.

The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in locating Duhamel, who’s described as a 6-foot, 165-pound 30-year-old white male with brown hair and  brown eyes. He also has multiple tattoos, including tattoos on his face.

Duhamel should be  considered armed and the public is urged to contact 911 if he is located. Duhamel is wanted for aggravated menacing, inducing panic, and violation of a temporary protection order.

UPDATE @ 3:05 a.m. (July 5): Arrest warrants are being issued for a man whose actions prompted the call out of the Warren County SWAT team.

The suspect eluded apprehension after he was thought to have barricaded himself in a home on Mentz Road in Franklin Twp., a sheriff's deputy said.

Police believe the man stole a car and drove to the house because he has a female friend living there, the deputy said.

SWAT was called out because the man, who apparently was armed, threatened police and was thought to have threatened the residents after forcing his way into the home. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

The deputy said the suspect managed to elude capture in all of the commotion and fireworks surrounding the Fourth of July holiday.

Authorities did seize the car the suspect left behind, as well as suspected drugs and ammunition found in the car.

According to the deputy, the suspect is known to area law enforcement and they expect to apprehend him.

INITIAL REPORT (July 4)

Emergency responders are surrounding a Mentz Road residence after a man is barricaded inside.

Crews were called around 9:15 p.m., according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

The man is believed to be alone, and possibly is armed, according to initial reports.

The department’s tactical response unit has been called to the scene, and a media staging area set up, deputies said.
