Carlisle schools, police investigating possible threat

UPDATE @ 11:18 a.m. (March 23):
Multiple parents told this news agency a student threatened a shooting during this afternoon's pep rally at Carlisle High School, however police and school officials have said there was no credible threat.

Officers are expected to remain at the high school throughout the day to ensure security of the building and students, police said.

Several parents were picking up students as our news crew arrived at the high school.

Carlisle School officials are investigating rumors of a possible school threat, but they have found no credible evidence of a threat being made, they said.

Officials are continuing to investigate the possibility of a threat and Carlisle police officers will be in the schools today as a precaution, said Superintendent Larry Hook.
