UPDATE: Motorcycle rider, vehicle passenger transported to hospitals after Middletown crash

UPDATE @ 2:09 P.M.

A motorcycle rider and a passenger in a car that collided with the motorcycle were transported to hospitals after the crash this afternoon in Middletown.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the vehicle was traveling north on Route 4 and attempted to turn just north of Garden Manor onto Hamilton-Middletown Road.

The motorcycle then struck the vehicle on the rear driver’s side.

The motorcycle rider was transported by a medical helicopter from the scene in critical condition, and a female passenger from the vehicle was transported by ambulance to Atrium Medical Center, according to the highway patrol.

A crash reconstruction expert will respond to the scene as the investigation continues.

Middletown crews are on scene for an accident involving a motorcycle, and a medical helicopter is on standby.

According to Middletown police dispatchers, a person on a motorcycle was reportedly struck by another vehicle.
