That allowed the Butler County Sheriff’s Office to reopen the road, which had been closed for several hours following a one-vehicle injury crash that sent a motorist to a nearby hospital with a head injury.

INITIAL REPORT:

Cincinnati-Dayton Road is closed because of downed utility pole.

A vehicle crashed into the pole along the busy road between Kyles Station and Millikin roads around 8 a.m. today and the driver was taken by Liberty Twp. life squad to an area hospital to be treated for a head injury, emergency dispatchers told the Journal-News.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office is blocking the road in both directions to prevent other motorists from getting near the pole, which is being held up by its wires, dispatchers said.

Cincinnati Bell crews are on the scene and working to repair the damaged pole, according to dispatchers.
