A body was found this afternoon along the railroad tracks on Vannest Avenue in Middletown, according to Police Sgt. Malcolm Tipton.

A man was found at about 4:20 p.m. behind the 3500 block of Vannest Avenue, Tipton said. The Butler County Coroner’s Office is responding to the scene.
Tipton said at this point it does not appear the person was hit by a train and the circumstances are under investigation.
