Police say that after investigating the allegations made against the student, the juvenile was taken into custody and has been charged with inducing panic, a second-degree felony. He has been transported to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center in Hamilton. The case remains under investigation.
In the latest instance, witnesses overheard the comments the student made on the bus and immediately contacted the police department, according to investigators handling the case.
“Parents are requested to stress to their children the seriousness of making statements or comments that can be perceived as threatening. Each reported incident will be thoroughly investigated, and the appropriate charges filed,” police explained in a statement.
