After bones found in woods, Butler County mom gets call from police

A Butler County mother received a call from the sheriff’s office this week after human remains were found in a wooded area near New Miami.

“They told me they didn’t think it was Billy. But my anxiety level went up,” Debbie Winkler Estes said.

Estes has been searching for her missing son, Billy DiSilvestro, since February 2011.

Estes said she knows the family of David “Bub” Eversole, who had been missing since April 2016. She helped Eversole’s family with their search efforts, she said.

“I know how hard it is. I hate it for them, but they do have some closure,” Estes said. “One of the missing has come home.”
