You can color Dr. Amy Acton during Wine with DeWine, thanks to local artist

“While people are drinking their wine, they can color,” artist said.

Like many, Kettering resident Jason Goad wanted to do something to help in wake of the coronavirus emergency.

And like many, Goad has seen the "Wine with DeWine" social media posts related to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine's daily Covid-19 updates with Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton.

“I was thinking of something I could do to to sort of entertain people,” Goad said.

The freelance illustrator who does commission pieces and graphic work for a list of clients that includes Hot Wheels, put his thinking cap on and came up with the “Ya’ll Need to Flatten The Curve” downloadable coloring page.

“While people are drinking their wine, they can color. Coloring  stuff is kind of therapeutic for people,” he said. “I think it is one of those situations that a lot of us feel helpless. This is something I can do. It’s not much, but it might help pass some time.”

Although he worked from home before the coronavirus emergency, Goad said he feels the anxiety the same as others when he has to go out for food shopping and other necessary reasons.

“I, like a lot of others, have found Mike DeWine’s and Amy Acton’s briefings inspiring and a calm spot during the day,” Gould told this news organization.
