Bon Appétit’s 50-ingredient nachos is made up of 12 layers, with 9 kinds of meat plus chili and beef jerky, 5 kinds of cheese, 2 kinds of chips and takes a whopping 36 hours to prepare. The end result is a monster nachos creation that weighs 66 pounds and is 11 inches high.
It wasn’t cheap to make, with the brisket alone costing $100.
The strategy of associate food editor Rick Martinez was that if it would be good in a taco, it would be great in nachos.
