Phoenix likes it hot.
In addition to the desert temps, some Arizona Chick-fil-A fans can now enjoy the taste of sizzling hot Spicy Chick-n-Strips in Phoenix, Yuma, and Tuscon outposts of the Atlanta-based chain. The new entrée will be available for a limited-time only as part of the company's testing to determine if they will roll out the dish nationwide.
Indeed, our Southern palates would sure delight in the savory blend of peppers spicing up the hand-breaded chicken that's cooked in 100% refined peanut oil. For now, though, the Arizona test markets join only Waco, Texas and Philadelphia in the menu item's trial runs.
“Our customers love our current spicy menu offerings, including our Spicy Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Southwest Salad,” said Matt Reed, manager of menu development at Chick-fil-A in a press release. “We’re excited to offer a new spicy entrée and can’t wait to hear what customers in the Phoenix area think.” Customers can buy the 3-count or 4-count Spicy Chick-n-Strips starting at $3.99. A catering tray option will also be available.
We were planning on ticking the Grand Canyon off of our must-see list this summer anyway, so a quick detour three hours south to the Phoenix area makes sense, right? Yes ma'am.
