Burger King is going to the dogs and giving away free flame-grilled dog bones

Make no bones about it.

This Burger King meal deal is for the dogs.

The fast-food chain announced Wednesday it is introducing the first dog bone featuring its "iconic flame-grilled taste."

Called the Dogpper, Burger King says the bone-shaped treat is a dog-friendly alternative to the Whopper sandwich and "a solution for customers who want to enjoy their order at home without interruption from their pets."

And for a limited time, Burger King is giving away free Dogpper bones to dog parents who buy themselves Whoppers.

But don't hop in the car with your furry friend. The bones and this special offer are not for pickup or dine-in and only available through the DoorDash food delivery service while supplies last.

Through Dec. 4, new DoorDash customers can get free delivery with a $10 or more order using promo code DOGPPER.

According to Burger King, the Dogpper is not for human consumption and available from participating restaurants within DoorDash service areas. Limit one dog bone per qualifying order.

Burger King also has a couple limited-time deals for humans including three pancakes for 89 cents during breakfast hours at participating locations and an offer described as the chain's "best Chicken Nuggets deal yet."

For a limited time, get a 10-piece order of chicken nuggets for $1 or a dime per nugget.

Plus, find coupons on the restaurant's smartphone app, which can be downloaded at  www.bk.com.
