Man cries when he sees his mom for the first time in 10 years

According to Shannon Slattery, her partner, Jeffrey, hasn't seen his mother, Madeline, in over a decade. The expense, the visa and other factors kept her from visiting from Libreville, Gabon, for years.

Shannon and Jeffery recently had a son, Christian. Jeffrey’s mother was anxious to meet her first grandchild.

The day before his mother arrived, Jeffrey’s little brother, Axel, who lives in Florida, called Shannon to let her know he and his mother would be flying in the next day for a surprise visit.

Shannon kept it all a secret from Jeffrey.

The moment Jeffrey saw his brother and mother was caught on camera. He nearly collapsed when he saw Axel, and completely broke down when he saw his mother.

Shannon says the video perfectly captures who Jeffrey is as a person.

"Jeffrey is 6 foot 7 inches tall and works as a carpenter," wrote Shannon. "This video is the epitome of what an upstanding man he is. He’s kind, loving, God-fearing, patient, hardworking, and a loving father and family man. I’m grateful to God that he’s mine and I’m his."

The video has been viewed on Facebook more than 5 million times.
