“Proof”

This Pulitzer Prize-winning play concerns a young woman caring for her mentally ill, mathematician father even as she struggles with her own mental illness and intellectual gifts. Jay Mewes And His A-Mewse-ing Stories

Jay Mewes, better known as the Jay half of the popular Jay and Silent Bob duo from the Kevin Smith films, will talk about his wild life and improbable movie stardom. See him at the Funny Bone at Liberty Center, 7518 Bales St., A-120, Liberty Township, on Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $22. Leonid Meteor Shower Watch

The Leonid Meteor Shower are meteoroids associated with the orbital Temple-Tuttle comet. Every November, the Earth’s orbit and the Temple-Tuttle comet cross paths, causing intense meteor storms that bombard the Earth’s atmosphere (don’t worry, most, if not all, will burn up before they hit the ground). Check out this celestial phenomenon at Governor Bebb MetroPark, 1979 Bebb Park Lane, Okeana, on Nov. 17 from 9 p.m.-midnight. There is no admission cost; just bring a picnic dinner and a blanket. Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony

This annual parade is the perfect way to kickstart your Christmas spirit. The tree-lighting ceremony will take place in the park inside Liberty Center. There will also be carriage rides and a visit from Santa. Check it out at Liberty Center, 7100 Foundry Row, Liberty Twp., on Nov. 17 from noon-8 p.m. There is no admission cost. Winter Blues Fest 2018

This all-day blues fest features national and local blues acts on two stages, including Hurricane Ruth, Scotty Bratcher, Doug Hart, Derek St. Holmes, Leroy Ellington’s Sacred Hearts, and more.
