“Years ago I was at an after party for an awards show, and there were lots of people I knew there. It was all people that I was in the industry with,” Eve said, adding that she picked her drink up and left it multiple times throughout the night.

“Probably an hour after the last time I picked my drink up, I felt crazy but not drunk. I knew immediately something was different. It was like I was there, but I wasn’t there. I forget who I was with, but whoever I was with, I tapped them on the shoulder and said ‘Something is wrong.’ And they’re like, ‘No, you’re just drunk.’ And then I started hysterically crying.”

Eve said she was placed in a room and was still crying when she heard someone else in the room.

“I heard this really soft voice that's like, ‘It’s OK. It’s OK. I'll take care of it,’ and I’m snot crying and I turn around and it’s Janet Jackson.”

It was the first time Eve met the superstar, and she said she was embarrassed under the circumstances.

“I was like, ‘I didn’t want to meet you like this!’”
