Chiefs' guard Jeff Allen gives championship game tickets to man who helped him out of snow

Kansas City Chiefs’ guard Jeff Allen gave back to a good Samaritan in a big way after he helped the athlete get out of the snow.

WDAF reported that, according to a tweet from the NFL player, his car got stuck in the snow before the Chiefs faced the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC divisional playoff Saturday.

“My car got stuck in the snow before the game & a nice guy named Dave help pull me out without knowing I was a player,” Allen tweeted early Sunday. “I want to give him tickets to the AFC championship game for helping but don’t have a way to contact him. He drove a 97 or 98 Black Suburban. Pls RT.”

The Kansas City Star reported that Allen said he got the man's number after he helped him, but lost it when someone called him before he could save Dave's number in his phone.

The call-out to Twitter ultimately worked, and Allen was able to find the real Dave who assisted him.

“Despite the recent influx in people changing their name to Dave in the KC area lol, I was actually able to track down the Dave that helped me thanks to the power of social media and #ChiefsKindgom,” he tweeted Sunday afternoon. “Thanks for your kindness.”
