A vigil for the late rapper Mac Miller, who died Friday at age 26, is planned for one of his favorite hometown spots.
Miller, who was from Pittsburgh, frequently represented his home town in his music. Blue Slide Park, the nickname for Frick Park, is the title of the rapper’s 2011 debut studio album.
His latest and final studio album, “Swimming,” was released Aug. 3. Miller was set to begin a tour in support of the record Oct. 27.
The vigil takes place at 5 p.m. local time. WPXI reported that a memorial is growing in the park as fans pay their respects with flowers, candles and messages.
