Keya Morgan, 43, made his first court appearance in Maricopa County Superior Court on Sunday on two felony counts of false imprisonment and grand theft from an elder and a misdemeanor count of elder abuse, The Associated Press reported.

Morgan, who is jailed on a $300,000 bond, was arrested in suburban Phoenix at his mother’s home without incident and is facing extradition to Los Angeles.

Among the charges, Morgan is accused of keeping money from Lee's business transactions, including $262,000 from an autograph-signing session in May 2018, according to CNN. He's also accused of falsely imprisoning Lee last summer.

“Morgan exerted his control and influence over Lee,” police alleged in a press release.

He’s also accused of falsely imprisoning Lee in a condominium in Beverly Hills, California, last June.

Lee's daughter filed a restraining order last year, accusing Morgan of manipulating her father and preventing him from seeing friends and family, and trying to take control of his money and business affairs, the AP reported.

Morgan denied the allegations at the time.

At the time, Lee's estate had an estimated worth of $50 million, according to CNN, but no one had the authority to act on his behalf.

Lee was the beloved creator of some of Marvel’s biggest comic icons, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther and the X-Men.

Lee died last November at the age of 95.
